Game Rules and Blinds
Cash Games
Game structure is "No Limit Texas Hold em".
Buy in minimum 25 cents, maximum 20 dollars per buy in. $100 cap on buy ins for a single night unless waived by management
You may take any open seat that has not been claimed by another player. Maximum of 10 players at the table.
You may purchase additional chips up to "top up"to $20 between hands but no more than $20 total at a time.
No "Going South": Upon cash out: must take all chips off table. If player returns and they had a profit above their initial buy in, they must buy in for the entire amount they left the table with. This is to prevent players from winning and not giving the other players a chance to win their money back. Example, if Joey buys in with five dollars and cashes out with thirty dollars, if Joey wants to reenter the game he must buy in with thirty dollars to give the other players a fair chance to win it back. You can't "protect your win" unless you quit for the night.
One single 25 cent big blind
No small blind
May "purchase" the big blind for any amount higher prior to cards being dealt
Straddling big blind allowed. Final straddle on the chain gets last "option".
No button straddling
Raises must be at a minimum double the previous bet.
7/2 game: Must opt in at beginning of buy-in. Anyone who wins a hand with 7/2 for any reason gets paid an additional 25 cents by every other player that opts in. Amount can be higher if vote is held at beginning of game. Can not collect 7/2 bonus if you do not opt in upon buy in.
Tournament Games
Buy ins will be the amount advertised for that weeks tournament. Each player shall receive a buy in placard in the order they buy in
The placard or card you draw indicates your seat number. This seat draw is required for fair play: no picking your seat in tournament poker
Blind schedules will be posted ahead of time for each tournament for review.
Most tournaments pay 1 through 3 unless specifically advertised
Players can not "cash out" in a tournament: each player receives the same starting level of chips and must play those chips till an end result has occurred or a chop has been negotiated. No chopping before five players remain.
If chops are not allowed in a tournament due to advertised structure, players must play the tournament till conclusion or risk losing their buy in
Players who are absent from the table will not be dealt cards and must pay their respective blinds till they return. Players will be "blinded out" until they return.
For tournaments with time chips: These allow you to think about your decision more without penalty but you will only get so many per tournament. Player must fold hand if time chips are used up and clock runs out on timer. The clock stops when a time chip is used: prevents people from exploiting clock to drive up blinds
General Etiquette
One player to a hand (Exception would be tag team tournament)
Do not talk about others hands in play if you are not an active player in the pot. Repeated violations will result in financial penalty or ejection
If you are an active player in the pot, you may say whatever you wish within reason.
New players get special help for two sessions: those rules are posted on another page.
Please give players a reasonable amount of time in a cash game before calling clock: dealer and management has final say if clock starts.
Do not cheat: goes without saying but altering cards, colluding, and all forms of cheating will not be tolerated.
